Evan & Paula

Dear CC! Thank you so much for putting Paula and I together. We're just arguing about who asked who first. I waved first but she was the one who suggested we meet up. (So I think that's her doing the asking really). Anyway ... 2 years later and we're getting married! :D It's very exciting.
We've both been single parents for a long time and our kids live with us, so thinking about getting married meant finding a home big enough for a lot of people! We managed to find a house and after Paula's house sold in just 6 days on the market I decided there was nothing stopping us now so I got down on one knee and proposed in front of Bath Abbey a couple of weekends ago. We've set a date for just 6 weeks later to get married!

We'd both had our ups and downs in life. I had been particularly battered and bruised and wasn't sure I would ever find love again. Indeed, I'd decided to cancel my subscription and stop dating, but Paula was the last lady I'd agreed to meet up with so I thought I would just go on one last date before embracing the single dad life for good. Well after that first date we met up 3 times that week and haven't looked back! It was clear on our first date that it was meant to be as we had unknowingly, parked our cars next to each other in the same multi storey car park for our first date. Walking Paula back to her car turned out to be very easy indeed!
