I thought I'd give Christian Connection a go to meet some new people and see if there were any decent men out there. My plan was to chat to lots of people, go on a few dates and see where God leads. I felt God nudging me to sign up a month earlier than I had planned, and I'm glad I listened as my future husband's account was about to expire. When I got on, I waved to anyone who caught my eye, had lots of wonderful conversations (and some that were a bit strange!). There was this one guy who I waved to and he responded, but it was very difficult to tell if he was interested or not because he took so long to respond. He was too interesting to give up on and I felt really drawn to him, even though I had no clue if he was even interested in me. Eventually we got to know each other a bit better and he finally asked me on a date... wooot! At the start of our dating relationship, he kept referring to me as a 'friend' (which was frustrating because I saw him as more than a friend), but eventually he caught up to where I was and the rest is history! He asked me to marry him two years later and we've been married for 5 months now! We are a blended family, so meeting each others children and developing those relationships were challenging and provided a few road bumps, but it is so clear to us that God had organised this right from the start and used our past to teach us and mould us so that we would be ready to meet each other. We are looking forward to our next adventure of serving in ministry together and seeing where God takes us! Thanks Christian Connection!
